Rev. Jonathan J. Glenn
Temple Zion Baptist Church
Minister Glenn received his call for the ministry at the age of seventeen; but would not accept the call because he was not sure of the calling or the message. He decided on a life in the military which was far from the call to ministry. His military life lead him to the Panama Canal Zone and to The First Baptist Church of Paraiso. This Church became the place where God made plain the call and the mission why he was calling. Minister Glenn was elevated to Minister Leader to the Young Adults and Sunday School Superintendent. These things happened; but Minister Glenn had not yet been licensed to preach. Returning home in June 1975 to Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church, Richtex, SC, Minister Glenn was licensed to preach the Gospel under the direction of Pastor Jerry Hollis and The Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. In September 1979 he was Ordained by the Temple Zion Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor James T. Montgomery and The Mount Hebron Association. Minister Glenn is a Graduate of Eau Claire High School, The Academy of Health Science, and Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Minister Glenn has served as Assistant Chaplin, Chaplin, Pastor, Lay Leader, and as an Usher. Minister Glenn is married to Veronica L. Glenn for 40 years and they are the proud parents of two sons, Carlos Myron Anthony Glenn and Cory Lamont Glenn; five granddaughters and three goddaughters.
